So, there aren't any really good places to find fitness equipment locally. You've got Sears (they have great sales on cheaply made junk); You've got Play it Again Sports (who has a bunch of kids running the place who don't really know anything and especially don't stand behind their sales); You've got Sports Authority (typical chain store pushing the sales and lacks the personal experience or caring attitude). And you've got these online monster dealers who are eager to tout their product, ship something in a box to your driveway, and don't really feel for you if you are not happy with what you get.



But let me tell you, Lloyds is a true specialty retailer who honestly cared about our choices as a consumer. My husband and I were very happy to find out that they are primarily a service-based company, so their knowledge is priceless; they don't just sell the stuff--they know it inside and out. We were also happy to know their prices were lower than other places (even online in some cases) and that they do not charge additional fees for delivering the equipment or putting it together. Most anywhere (in any large product category) seems to have upward of $100 additional just to deliver and assemble. We are very happy with our new fitness room and are equally as pleased with our experience of being fully educated and guided in our choices in making such a large and important investment in our health.

You won't find the same caliber of equipment anywhere else locally. The other places (Sears, Wal-Mart, Sports Authority, Play it Again, etc.) have entry-level stuff for beginners or tight budgets. The equipment here is much better quality, has much better warranties (which attests to its quality), and the people are much better informed about what they are selling ... they have a vested interest in a customer's satisfaction. We really didn't know about this place and thought we'd be driving to Orlando, but were VERY pleasantly surprised to find this store right in our neighborhood. If you are looking for better equipment, accommodating sales and delivery experience, and a deal for the dollar ... you will be very satisfied.

We have bought several pieces of fitness equipment from Lloyd's now and recommend them to people all the time. It is so nice to deal with people who love what they do, have great product knowledge, take the time to fully understand our needs as a consumer, and are willing to accommodate us. We love the fact that they keep their prices down and offer free home set up and delivery ... other places charge a lot for this service. We shopped around initially and found much higher prices and over-zealous sales people who didn't have (or care to find) the right information on the products. The folks at Lloyd's are not just the retailer of the equipment they sell either; they are the factory service company behind all of the equipment manufacturers out there. That sealed the deal for us. You just couldn't ask for more. We've also been very pleased to find a refurbished piece of commercial equipment that my wife wanted. We got exactly what we were looking for at a great price and even a generous in-home warranty on the unit. Our recommendation for you if you are looking for fitness equipment is to save the gas money and support a local family-owned business. You won't be disappointed!

We have bought several pieces of equipment from Lloyds now, and have been remarkably pleased each time we've dealt with them. Initially, we were happy to have found someone local that carried high-quality lines. After speaking with the owner and completing the sale, we were very satisfied with the level of knowledge and guidance we received. The price was substantially lower than what we might have paid for the same treadmill somewhere else. We've come back for weight equipment and some additional cardio pieces, each time being completely satisfied as well. We especially like supporting a family business as well as knowing our equipment can be serviced by the same folks who sold it. That goes a long way with us when deciding where to bring our business. We *highly* recommend them.
