Provided by YP.comOn July 26th we were a party of 7. The evening started out plesant enough, we order our appetizers and two bottles of wine were opened. Then we order dinner. We waited over an hour to receive our dinners. We did not order items requiring a lot of cooking; 1 lamb, 1 steak, 2 pastas and 3 halibuts. Ironically, none required much attention nor did they receive any. After an hour was passed I went to the kitchen and complained, I was greeted with stares. The restaurant was not full. People came after we arrived and left before we were served our dinner. The lamb was order medium rare, received very rare; the pasta was not al dente but totally undercooked; the steak was order medium rare, received very rare and was returned for additional cooking; howvery the halibut was acceptable. When we went to the French Laundry we accepted that it would take 3 hours, however never did I consider Harvest Moon would require more than an 1,5 hours. I have never seen olive oil charge, here it is $2.00. It is amazing that they did not charge us for the bread and butter. Since we were a party of 7, I had no choice but to tip the standard 18% if I had an option I would have given 5%. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, I would rate it 3.5$.
The previous night we had dinner at Cook's in Saint Helena, much better, cheaper and excellent food and service.
