The resurgeons orthopedic doctor did not remove the nail in my hand he saw on xray. It was deep in and between a joint, which was causing pain. I was treated with antibiotics and searched for a competent doctor, who was Dr Patel. he told me that nail had to come out, It was between joints and would never allow good movement of my finger, and also my wound was infected. He did sx immediately, let the wound drain with gauze and wrapped it nicely. The very next day I am in no more pain! Dr Patel is a wonderful hand doctor!!
