I went to their Patchogue facility for two shoulder MRI's - one left, one right. I was told I could not do both on the same day - patients can't tolerate it - so I had to do them on consecutive days. I was told at the front desk on the first day that my copay was $50. I paid it. When I came in the second day and tried to pay my copay again, I was told I already paid the whole copay for both shoulders. Months later I received a bill from the Patchogue facility. I called the number on the bill and got the Smithtown office. When I explained what happened, they said no - I have two $50 copays. When I asked to speak to someone at Patchogue, I was told they lost their lease and were closed for good. The bill did not even have a Smithtown address on it. The MRI's themselves were OK but now you can't go to that facility. How does a company with millions of dollars worth of equipment in the building lose their lease?
