My experience was wonderful!!! The consultant greeted me at the door. She listened to what I wanted and within minutes I was in the dress that I had dreamed about! She was knowledgeable and attentive to me and my family. I would recommend The French Door to everyone!

First, they measured me incorrectly so the dress didn't fit. Then, they told us they no longer carried the line so there was nothing they could do to help us. Later they did re-order my dress and promised that it would arrive before the date of the wedding. The dress hadn't arrived 2 weeks before the wedding and they stopped returning phone calls so we found another dress at a different bridal store and got it altered. One day before I left for the wedding the dress showed up. I took the two dresses to the store when I got into SF and Suzanne (owner) who hadn't talked to me in two weeks started blaming everything on the dress manufacturer.She said she would "take care of everything." To include paying for the 3rd dress and free last-minute alterations on the dress that I paid for.Two weeks after the wedding Suzanne sends a note saying she feels my free alterations were sufficient in handling the situation and refused to pay for the dress as they had promised.

I went to this store and was very disapointed to find that they participate in an illegal practice of removing the tags from inside the dresses, you could easily see the torn out area in the bodice seam. They lied and told me they couldnt tell me the maker of the dress since it was "custom made for their store." The only reason I was on the look out for practices such as this was after reading a bridal book warning about shops trying to bait and switch by carring a designer gown and then ordering you a cheap "knock off" knowing that most brides cant remember 3 months later exactly what the original fabric and beading looked like. I chose to take my business elsewhere. Just thought I'd share my experience.

I was in The French Door not that long ago with an appointment I had made, filled out their information and had my fiance's family and my family along with me. The owner of the store came to the front and asked my intentions...which what are normal peoples intentions in a bridal shop...and proceeded to tell me I could not look at the dresses there. I was extremely embarrassed and hurt by this...he did it in front of other customers and my whole family...I will never go there again and would never recommend anyone else go there ever either. I had the worst service possible and for the owner of the store to turn away customers for absolutely no reason is completely rude. Take my advice, the people are rude and the customer service there sucks!!!
