Active Generations, located in Sioux Falls, SD, strives to provide many services and activities to help people stay active. Our mission is to promote positive aging for adults and to enhance the quality of life for all generations through programs, services and education. Services Currently Available through Active Generations: BRIDGES Employment Resource Center, Day Break Adult Day Services, Clubs, Fitness, Meals on Wheels, Nutrition, Volunteering, Community Action Team, Arts & Crafts, Computer Learning, Dancing, Lifelong Learning, Social Opportunities, Trips & Travel, Workers on Wheels, SHIINE. Membership is required to use our facility. Membership is for a year from when you sign up with Active Generations. Renewal letters are sent out when your membership is due again. Active Generations has two membership options for our members. A Social membership entitles you to take part in the recreation, educational and social programs. A Fitness Membership is required, in addition to the social membership, if you would like to access our fully equipped fitness room and locker room facilities. Active Generations is pleased to offer many free benefits with your membership. Some of these include free health screens, fitness assessment, special events, library, educational classes, special interests clubs, birthday parties, lounge, and computer/Internet access. Some programs, clubs and classes require additional participation fees, including but not limited to: Pool Room, SeniorNet Learning Center, fitness classes, travel, arts/crafts classes, dances, and some health screens.
