I have been tanning at this salon for about six months. In April I was going to have surgery. I went in and asked to freeze or cancel, whatever they could do because I would not be able to tan and I did not know when how long I would be out for. They said they did not freeze accounts, I said that was fine just cancel. Then she realized I was paying 40$ a month and the new membership fee was 20$. Then she came back and said that I was a long time tanner and they would do me a favor by freezing. I said I did not care. The last day of my tanning membership before it froze I came in and asked the manager plus two other people to make sure that until I come in and un-freeze my account, that they would not charge me. The manager assured me that they would not charge me until i came in personally to un-freeze. A month later I was charged. I called and spoke to someone who assured me they would take care of it. Five days later nothing was changed. I called again and told whoever answered the story. She said I wrote down a month, I said to her that I wrote down a month because that is what they told me to write down and besides that you said you would not charge me anyways. When I asked for corporates number she hung up on me. I called back and spoke to the manager who again hung up on me when I asked for higher management. So I drove to the salon and said I talked to you, the manager, about all this before I went into surgery. I told them I had surgery, how would I know when I would be able to get back and tan, what if I had complications.The manager said she called the cops on me and said quote, "it's not my fault you had a b00b j0b." Then the other lady said quote, "why are you making a big deal, it's not that much money." I was yelling and crying because they were lying to my face. When I asked for proof of canceling my account, they said they would right it on a post it and do it later. I asked them several times to cancel my account and give me paperwork and they refused. I will never go to this salon even if someone paid me. I was treated so disrespectfully and so rude that it makes me ill to think they are still in business. The manager lies and she wants the extra bucks so she can stay in business. If i knew that they would have charged me I would have canceled it like I wanted to in the first place. If the rules are one way and they are telling me another thing, then maybe they should get someone more intelligent to manage business. Their names were Kelly and Lauren

Do not go here...

I was a member at the Simi salon for over a year. The salon looks nice by appearance but what you do not see is what goes on in the salon. The owner/manager is very unprofessional in the way she deals with her clients and also creates a hostile work environment for her employee's. I have witnessed her talking about a gay employee in not so kind words. She creates lies about her employees so she has a good excuse to fire them. She continues to talk about the employee even after they have left the salon. Ms Owner also talks bad about other salons and salon owners in Simi.



Beware of signing any contracts until you are sure what the terms are and exactly how they are carried out. If you join, which I highly recommened you don't, be aware that the 3 month member ship is actually a 3 month EFT withdrawl. Don't pay any months in advace as she wont' count that toward EFT payments and will charge your card a cancellation fee when you do cancel.



There are many other salons in Simi. Please check them out before you go to Hollywood Tans. Her beds don't tan you very well anyways.
