All of my friends suggested I ...

All of my friends suggested I bring my dog's here because I was un-happy with another Veterinary office that wanted to get my dog for 3-days for a spay. Bailey our Vizsla, loved the staff, they treated him well and I was pleased. Molly, hated going to the doctor and would start to violently shake when we would walk in the door (she never did that before). Regardless, I was always treated with respect, my dogs were cared for and I felt safe putting my dog's health in their hands. Moving forward to Molly's spay, she gets spayed, I take her home and we start the healing process. She does not lick, sniff or do anything with her incision and after a week, I notice that under her skin there is a lump and a red spot. I call them, we take her in, they look at her and reassure us that it is just 'scar tissue irritation' and to put a warm compress on it twice a day. They also gave us some medication to take down the redness. I do as instructed, she has her cone on, no activity and I stay with her 24/7 to make sure she heals properly. After a few days, I notice the lump under her skin was growing, moving from side to side of her incision and brought her in again. Same response but I just felt like they were wrong and I was right. They next day I checked her incision again around the lump had dramatically changed to a blood red lump, with a white head (looked like a blood blister). Immediately, I call the vet, e-mail them a picture to show the doctor and they say "well we close in 20 minutes, we could see you Monday or you could go to the ER." Are you kidding me? You misdiagnosed my dog TWICE and you wont let me drive in for you to look at this mess that she now has because you were too incompetent to make a proper diagnosis? I was furious that after the money we put into getting her fixed, the two times I drove up from Port Orchard and to be told the same thing over and over. But now, she has a swollen red mess down there and you won't stay open for a few more minutes?

I couldn't believe this is how they were treating my dog. I then found another place that was open over the weekend and took her in. Turns out she did NOT have scar tissue irritation but she in fact had an allergic reaction to her stitches, she had an abscess and it burst all over when they were looking at it. Not to mention she had a fever (due to this infection) and she was put on an antibiotic to start immediately.

I do not blame them for her infection; I blame them for not making a proper diagnosis in the TWO times I brought her in and for refusing to treat dog with a serious infection. They KNEW it was a bad infection because I sent them the picture to reception and they told me they showed the doctor. The doctor was the one who said she/he couldn't prescribe a medication without looking at it but refused to see us until Monday at 5pm.

They are sharp, knowledgeable compassionate, kind, loving. You are greeted by the people at the front desk who absolutely love working with you and your pets. I can’t say enough wonderful things about RAH. They have been my vet for over 13 years.

Slow and incommunicative. It took 40 minutes just to get my very sick cat checked in. They finished her tests two and a half hours later and didn't call me. I finally called them to ask what was going on six hours after dropoff and when I went in to pick her up, it took nearly another hour to get 12 dose syringes of meds and get out of there. You would be better off going to Banfield just down the road.

I have been ro several vets in the Silverdale/Bremerton area and I found that not only is Ridgetop one of the most affordable, but they also have the nicest, most caring staff around. I have 3 dogs and they make it really easy to care for them on a budget.

Awesome staff and very caring!

When our little pomeranian broke his leg we took him to Ridgetop and they were wonderful. They took us back right away and were very compassionate and understanding. They were able to schedule his surgery the next day, however I wasn't able to bring him since my husband had the car so they offered to come and get our puppy, free of charge. It was so great knowing that our puppy was in good hands and seeing how much they cared. The doctors and staff there are awesome and so nice whenever I called and answered all of my questions. I would recommend Ridgetop to anyone! They are definitely a place that loves your animal and wants the best care for them as much as you do!
