The City of Sidney is located in Ohio and is the county seat of Shelby County. The town has more than 20,000 residents, and is situated along the west side of the Great Miami River, Ohio. The city is operated by various departments, including airport, building inspection, dial-a-ride, engineering, finance, fire and emergency services, parks and recreation, planning and zoning, police, public works, purchasing, taxation and utilities. The public works department looks after the needs of the community by overseeing the streets, sanitary and storm sewers, public buildings, treatment plants, distribution lines, and other public works assets of the city.
