I liked this specialist right away. The prices were good too. My vet said he has practiced longer than any ophthalmologist in Los Angeles when he sent me over. Excellent care.

This specialist is recommended by hundreds of referring vets after 22 years in practice! He is excellent! My Maltese had a melting ulcer and my vet called over. Ophthalmologist Dr. Silverman got her in right away the same day and treated her. He was kind and had a great bedside manner. The staff was efficient and knew just what to do. High marks!

Excellent treatment! Much thanks to all 3 vets who sent me to wonderful ophthalmologist Dr. Bruce Silverman. I can't express my gratitude. This specialist did a masterful cataract surgery on my Boston Chuck and took him from being totally blind to running around like a puppy! As a previous client he even took 10% off the price! I don't know if he would do that for everyone but we had done some work before years ago. This is a great facility I would highly recommend.

This specialist lives up to his reputation! I was sent here by 3 different veterinarians. They all highly recommended Dr. Bruce Silverman specifically for cataract surgery. He has been practicing longer that any other specialist in the LA area. I found him great! Cataract surgery is not inexpensive but Dr. Silverman really thinks of the people. He gives a month of free visits after surgery, takes Care Credit, and gives my pet's eye lenses during surgery for free if he can as well. This is savings of hundreds and hundreds of dollars over others!! I can see why the vets keep referring to him. My dog Honey sees beautifully now. I can't put a price on that! This is a great place to go for cataract surgery for your pet.

Extremely ethical! My Pug healed after I left a surgical deposit. This Dr. returned my money and cancelled surgery even though it upset his day. He is not after money. He is truthful! This is so rare. I can not say enough good things about this specialist. With so many doctors wanting to rush you into surgery, this specialist is honest. I look at negative reviews -- my vet told me when you have been around as long as Dr. Silverman people can want to attack you. Normal balanced people do not talk like these people. Dr. Silverman is top of the line and has practiced longer than any animal eye specialist in Los Angeles. My vet only refers to him. I can see why!

Overnight my dog Ryder's eyes went to greyish white. He was completely blind. My vet called Dr. Silverman, who is his first choice of specialists with cataract surgeries, and got me in. Dr. Silverman was also right on top of this. He got me right in that day and was able to do the testing for cataract surgery. Ryder passed and we set up for surgery. The testing is very important because if Ryder did not pass there would no point in proceeding ahead. Two of my friends have had Dr. Silverman do cataract surgery on their dogs with great success. I am impressed with the efficiency, professionalism, and team work between my veterinarian and Dr. Silverman. He is obviously highly regarded.

I was so glad I could get in to see Dr. Silverman on a Saturday. My Boston Terrier had developed something that looked bad. I was worried it could be glaucoma or cataracts. I was relieved to find out it was only a simple infection that the doctor treated easily with drops. I have heard things can get worse quickly in a dog's eye so I was very happy I could get in right away.

Top Cataract Specialist

Great expertise with cataract surgery. Dr. Silverman was highly recommended by two vets in our area. Our dog was seeing by the end of the day. I could not believe it. When I brought in Danner his eyes were white opaque discs. He had gotten diabetes suddenly and gone completely blind.

Luckily, tests showed he was a good candidate for cataract surgery. We set the day and I dropped him off. Cataract surgery has a 95% success rate. It is not inexpensive anywhere but Dr. Silverman gives a month of free rechecks so that helps with the cost.

Having been in Sherman Oaks doing cataract surgery since 1999, his expertise with this is evident. Depending on the condition of the animal he also does his best to put in a lens to further enhance vision. There is no extra charge for this either, where my friend was charged several hundred extra for this with another animal eye specialist.

I found Dr. Silverman caring, and an all around nice down to earth animal ophthalmologist, with a great outgoing personality. You can tell he cares and is very thorough. When I picked up Danner that afternoon, his eyes had gone from pure white and blind back to their natural beautiful crystal brown. The diabetes had been carefully monitored throughout the entire procedure.

When I walked from one side of Danner to the other and his head turned to follow me! Dr. Silverman had completely restored Danner to a happy seeing dog in a few hours which he remains. This was completely worth doing to me.

This Is A Very Ethical Doctor!

I was so surprised to only be charged half the price of the orginal quote for surgery for an eyelid tumor on my dog. I was not expecting it. But Dr. Silverman said a lot of the tumor had resolved on its own and did not want to overcharge me. His fairness, integrity and honesty far surpassed my expectations.

My rescue dog from the shelter developed cataracts in both eyes. The eye surgeon operated on both of them successfully. I found this clinic to be very reasonable when I compared costs.

My dog was scheduled to have surgery for glaucoma. When I got to the clinic, the pressures were normal. The animal eye doctor Dr. Silverman was great. He said there was no need for surgery. I was happy and relieved.

I am very grateful to Dr. Silverman for saving my dog's eye without surgery. My dog developed a melting corneal ulcer while I was in New York. I blamed myself but the eye specialist said this could not be predicted. It could progress in 24 -48 hours. He had me do a regiment of drops. It cleared the condition. My Boxer is seeing beautifully now. The staff was great too. Everyone here was knowledgeable, kind and gentle.

I took my 15 year old German Shepherd to Complete Animal Eyecare for glaucoma/cataracts in her right eye. Dr. Silverman ran tests which were very thorough and explained to me what the tests were for and the findings.

I had cataract surgery done here. My dog was seeing very well. The first night I put him on the bed, not thinking about it, and the dog fell off the bed causing damage to the eye!! I felt awful. I called Dr. Silverman at Complete Animal Eyecare right away -- the eye specialist is redoing the surgery to help with the damage and not charging me anything. I am so impressed.

I came in with my Cocker Spaniel - my vet thought it was glaucoma. When I got to Dr. Silverman he easily assessed that my dog didn't have glaucoma. He diagnosed inflammation and gave me medicine. This kept the costs down.

My bulldog needed an entropion surgery. The folds above his eyes were falling into his eyes causing great discomfort. This was not unnecessary plastic surgery -- the animal ophthalmologist did a very complicated procedure where he moved back those folds to above the eyes. Later, I wasn't sure I would be able to do the aftercare correctly so I took him to my regular vet at an animal hospital with several other vets. They all came out to look and were very impressed. None of them had ever seen this type of surgery done so well on an animal's eye. Thank you Doctor!

My vet in Pasadena referred me to Complete Animal Eyecare Center when my dog had an eye problem. I found the staff efficient and friendly. They got me in quickly -- the animal eye doctor's diagnosis was right on target. The issue was taken care of with medicine, which avoided a costly surgery.

I was very impressed the eye specialist got me in right away at the end of the day. I left very informed. I was impressed with his knowledge, sense of humor and ability to diagnose clearly and explain the condition of my dog's eye.
