Sweetest guys I've ever met

I dunno what all these other people are talkin about! I first went into lions to look though their movies and Adam gave me a pretty decent deal. I later started comin in before work to sit and chat with him and the other guy who helped him. He gave me decent deals on quite a few things and even helped me out gettin a birthday present for a friend of mine. I always tell my friends to go to him if they need something and everyone of them have went back.

Plainly, this place is garbage. I went in to sell an old coin the other day and walked head on into a room FULL of smoke. (Not normally an issue but I have COPD) I mean seriously, how unprofessional could you be? I forgot the coin's certificate of authenticity in my car, and, as I went to get it, I overheard the man (I assume the owner) making a very crude, sexual comment to another man! Excuse me??? That's not what I was there for and I did NOT appreciate it. Again, complete trash. No wonder nobody is ever in this place!

I would not recommend that anyone buy or sell anything in this establishment. In the 1980's in Rhode Island, I ran a small Pawnbroker's Shop. Nothing too fancy, but I payed the bills and made a good living otherwise. The point is that I know how this business works. Or, in this case, how this business doesn't work. This place is a wreck. The shop is poorly organized and needs to be introduced to the world's largest duster. The owner is unkind and stand-offish which are two things a pawnbroker can't be. Sad..... just simply, pathetically sad....

Never in my life have I had a ...

Never in my life have I had a worse experience dealing with any pawnbroker. Upon having brought a few small items in one afternoon, I was met at the counter by a young man with a snarky attitude and a chip on his shoulder. Still attempting to be polite, I offered the young man a look at the items in question. In response, I received a "lowball" offer that was easily topped substantially at another pawnshop less than 2 hours later. As if that were insufficient, when I repeated to offer to make sure I had heard correctly (Not to be rude, I'm deaf in my left ear and have sub-perfect hearing in my right), I was insulted and sworn at! (The owner responded with: That's what I just f***ing said!) I own a business myself and I know that this is NOT the way to treat paying customers. I would never speak to any of my customers that way and I cannot believe that this man is still in business if he acts this way consistently. My advice? Do yourself a favor and drive the extra miles to Red Oak Pawn. They're much more polite and offer reasonable prices while still making a profit. I will not be wasting my time on this brain-damaged neanderthal again.

The owner of this business is ...

The owner of this business is inconsiderate and rude. I've been in there over a dozen times and he treats his customers like crap. That's why he is losing business. You're better off going to the pawnshop in Red Oak it's worth the drive, because you're better off making deals and money there.
