Mazda Biria, MD, FACC, is an experienced, Board-certified electrophysiologist with AdventHealth Medical Group. He provides specialized cardiac care for adult patients at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Merriam, Kansas. Before joining AdventHealth, Dr. Biria worked as an electrophysiologist and as an emergency room physician at health systems in Kansas and Missouri, and previously was a primary care physician in Iran. He has published extensively on cardiology and electrophysiology topics and he has earned a number of honors throughout his career. Dr. Biria earned his medical degree from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services in Iran and completed a residency in psychiatry at Iran University of Medical Sciences & Health Services. He then completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center, followed by a research fellowship in electrophysiology at Mid-America Cardiology. He went on to complete both a cardiovascular fellowship and a clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Biria is Board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine and clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
