A scam with incompetent management! When we applied for the apartment and paid our deposit we were told that the cost covered our first and last month. So after living in the apartment a month I went to pay rent only to be told that they "pro-rated" the apartment and we owed them an additional $787 and a late fee. We had not received an original copy of the lease and when we disputed the discrepancy it was found that an additional fee had been added after the signing, shortly thereafter the new building manager was "terminated" for absconding with other tenants rent checks. So the following month on the first we received a late rent notice (not late) and also the property management company wanted to charge us $800 for housing a friend recovering from heart surgery and his dog. All this could have been resolved with a telephone call, however not only has the company misplaced our contact information on six separate occasions, but they also were unable to properly enter vital information to do the initial background and credit checks before the signing of the lease. MS property managements has no other information or reviews available and they also use a Texas water company (Minol MTR) who have been cited for unregulated and arbitrary billing. The location is less than convenient and if you are tempted by the allure of affordable housing I tell you it is an illusion with hidden fees and offsite management.
