Three Strikes and they're out.



Strike One:

We had brought in our Kia for a routine oil change towards the end of June. The service was fast and friendly. We had no complaints. However, we had been noticing oil staining on our driveway recently. Our neighbor had been using our driveway, so we assumed it was from his car. However, we've been noticing the staining everywhere we had parked. I checked the oil yesterday and was shocked to see that the crank case was empty. ALL the oil had drained out!



We took the car into our mechanic who informed us that the oil filter was "barely hanging on." It had not been properly tightened after the oil change. They charged us $96 for finding that out, giving us all new oil and a new oil filter. In essence, we did a second oil change due to Jiffy Lube's mistake.



Strike Two:

We complained to corporate and to the local management. After receiving a call and offer to remedy the issue, my wife came in with the requested documents (our invoice and receipt for the repair). Adam, the manager, was friendly and very apologetic. She was told that we would receive a check 5-10 business days later to cover our costs. Awesome, right? Well, we never received the check.



Strike Three:

It has been two and a half months since we raised this issue and we are still waiting for our promised check. I have sent another email (to local management and corporate), but a week later, no call, no response, no check.



Sorry, Jiffy Lube, we are done with you.
