I have used Catalina Med Spa for skin tightening and photo-facials. I can highly recommend it as an excellent beauty “secret,” offering both value and highly trained, friendly technicians who are skilled in delivering noticeable results in a pleasant atmosphere with little to no discomfort.

I have to be honest, due to the last review I little weary about going to this MedSpa so I proceeded with caution. I asked about the previous posting, and they stated that the woman who performed that hydrafacial is no longer working there due to that problem. SO, I was relieved. I also received a hydrafacial for my acne skin, and this was the first facial I have EVER received. I'M SO IN LOVE! Even though I have very problematic skin (wake up to a breakout every morning) it didn't do any harm, in fact... it really helped! I strongly recommend this place now that they have weeded out the other employees!!

DO NOT go here. I bought a groupon facial (hydrafacial, microderm, lymphatic massage) while I was in town visiting. I have had many facials (including microderm, lasers, and peels) and love the way my skin looks after, so I was really excited. The esthetician was nice, but something she did DESTROYED my skin. I had a bit of congestion and breakouts due to hormone imbalances, but nothing too crazy. I woke up the next morning and I had a painful, red, itchy, dry rash all around my mouth and chin. I started breaking out in areas that I didn't even have issues (my forehead, the area around my nose). I went back to the spa and had the doctor look at it, who was pretty unhelpful and just told the esthetician that "maybe we shouldn't do the facial on people with breakouts" which I find HILARIOUS seeing as that is what they advertise it for!!

So the doctor put me on expensive steroids that I had to then go pay for out of my own pocket. I couldn't leave the house for 3 days and even after the rash went away I still had massive breakouts. The steroids lowered my immune system and made me very sick. I called a week later (this is the amount of time they said it would take to all heal-that was a lie) and asked for a refund of my money. The lady said she would speak with the doctor and call me back. It has been 2 weeks and I have STILL yet to hear back.

Being a business owner myself, this is NOT the way you treat a client, especially if you are dealing with something as important as the skin on their face. They couldn't have cared less and that is not something I want from a business dealing with skin care.

I called groupon and they were nice enough to refund me the money.
