First time visiting this restaurant. The young hispanic lady that welcomed me was very professional and polite. My waiter (Bryan) attended to all my needs and answered all my questions. The atmosphere was great. I personally don’t drink but they seemed to have a good selection of wine. I had the Beef Carpaccio as an appetizer and the Branzino for entree. The Carpaccio was a small portion but the taste and presentation was awesome. The entree was also very good. I could’ve rated this restaurant a five star but I had a small issue with the General Manager ( Jamie Ault) and another lady who I was told she was a supervisor. They kept coming around my table to see if I was done. This made me feel very uncomfortable, and to add to insult a few minutes after I was given the desert menu the lady that was a supervisor came by and asked me if I was going to order anything. I told her that I was thinking about it and she left. Her and the manager did this various time. I then told Bryan that I would like to talk to the manager but she never came out and she sent her assistant (Abraham McMahon) because she was to busy.

The previous reviews convinced us to try il piatto. It is worth 4+ stars!!
The grilled calamari was a surprise, yet delicious. But doesn't compare to the pappardelle with duck ragu which was fantastic!! Our waiter was a consummate professional. We will come back.

Located just one block off the Santa Fe Plaza, il Piatto is without a doubt one of the best Italian restuarnts in the country. With a lovely sidewalk patio, a wine bar, a wine cave and some of the freshest food I've ever had, il Piatto is a must while in Santa Fe!!!
