While this is not an upscale foo-foo place, you'll be darned hard pressed to find a place where the whole Family can sit, talk, visit, and eat really well without blaring music or staff that intrudes every 2 minutes. The food here is prepared (and told to you on the menu) in a way that brings old-fashioned goodness and Flavor that you won't soon forget. From salad to (don't forget) dessert, you can enjoy your companion(s) and the meal in an old timey way and atmosphere. Not a place to impress your clients, unless they want to see that you know a simple good value, and the occasional tough meat that every resturant gets now and then. Should your meal not be to your liking, TELL the Staff they will do what they can to remedy the problem.(As a long time patron I can say that they WILL make it right for you,from reheating a steak gone cold on your plate to a whole new meal to adjusting the bill) Do be prepared to wait for steaks, but man!, when you get it, what a great meal you will have. The Cowboy is my Favorite and good for People Sacks if you can't eat it all. The sign says "Family" and means it in the True gathering tradition anywhere in the USA. Dress up, or wear your jeans but GO TRY IT, you won't be sorry!
