I have had a very positive experience working with Paul and his office staff over the past few months. I initially began hypnotherapy to help with allergies but found it a gentle way to uncover and release past traumas. I have tried counseling in the past with negative results, but with Paul's work I have become more self aware and calm. I have included friends and an aunt in my sessions and they also had a positive experience.

The only reason they received one star was so I could post this review. Also, I'm sure they must have several employees that are caring and trustworthy even though the management may not be.

Terrible, terrible ownership. This place is a joke. Upon graduating from massage therapy school, my wife took a part time job at Mind Over Matter. We felt blessed to have a job because I work and attend school time full time. After 1 and a half months of working without receiving ANY compensation for the money that my wife had ALREADY brought to the company through her massages, they finally sent her a check. I ended up being about 30% of what my wife was expecting to receive. On top of that, the owners had taken most of her tips (whether through carelessness or maliciousness I don't know) and she received $20 of tips for several weeks of work. Soon after, she turned in her 2 weeks notice because we had just found out we were expecting our first child, but she continued to work faithfully for the next couple of weeks.

About a month after her final day, she still hadn't received her final check. Of course we weren't upset at first because we expected that in time they would pay. However, after consistently contacting Paul and some of his employees trying to get a check sent, they all made up different excuses as to why there had been a delay. Several weeks passed with no $, no emails, no phone calls (except on our part which were never returned.)

At the beginning of this year, 2013, we received at W-2 form in the mail from Mind Over Matter claiming that they had paid my wife several times more than she actually received. Obviously, they are dishonest not only with us but with the IRS. We decided to send off one last email and one last phone call with a warning that we would in turn report them to the BBB and online reviews if we didn't hear back from them within 2 weeks. This time we were not even lucky enough to get an excuse. No check was sent. As a result, we have forgone hundreds of dollars.

I would not recommend Mind Over Matter to anyone. Not because their therapists aren't good because I'm sure they are as good as anywhere else. However, I would think twice before I entrusted time, money, or confidence in the ownership of this business. They have proven themselves to be untrustworthy, incompetent, and disagreeable. I do not write bad reviews lightly and only do it in an effort to warn the public of this sorry excuse for a company.
