Granite Elementary School provides a variety of educational services to more than 650 students in kindergarten through grade six. It offers a variety of academic courses, including reading, language arts, math, music, art, social studies, science, and technology and physical education. The school organizes special programs for students with learning disabilities, speech and communication difficulties and emotional disorders. It has an active parent-teacher association and school community council. Granite Elementary School offers enrichment and gifted and talented education program. It offers a presidential academic fitness award to top academic achievers at the school. The school also involves students in outdoor education, hiking, area surveys and reforestation projects. It offers an accelerated reading program for students in kindergarten through grade three. Granite Elementary School is located in Sandy, Utah, and is a part of the Jordan School District.
