Provided by YP.comHighly unprofessional. Demanding and rude. Cussing out people in my Claims Department, telling them they didn't know what they were doing and that they were full of s***. All because she didn't like our hours of operation. This was about a PAID claim, by the way.
We yell at insurance companies all day long. That's our job. This complaint was no doubt made by a managed care claims office. They are the worst to deal with. They take the plan's money to manage a patient's care and then keep the money instead of paying the doctor! We have no reason to call this type of company unless it has been at least 90 days since the claim was billed, with no response. By law, these groups have 60 days to pay or deny. Conveniently their claims departments are only open for calls between certain hours, their hold times are sometimes 30 minutes or more, and they never return calls if a message is left. They are the lowest form of claims payer...bottomfeeders.
