11/19/12 There was a fire in their boarding facilities that burnt 3 dog houses and killed 7 dogs. Reported cause is most likely an electrical issue. PLEASE research before leaving your pet there.



Also, My dog was there for about a week (last December) and came with scratches on her belly. She loves playing with other dogs and gets very excited so it may of been partially her fault; however, it would appear that the dogs are not watched as carefully as they should be.



Also, she is up to date on her shots and caught Giardia here "Dogs become infected when they swallow Giardia that may be present in water or other substances that have been soiled with feces". Perhaps the water or kennel are not as clean as it should be.



Overall, I would not go back.

Since the day they opened, over 4 years ago, we have trusted our canine family of 3 to the folks at Thousand Hills Pet Resort. They have stayed in their care countless times in boarding and day care. We would not think of taking our dogs elsewhere. The manager, Kyle, and other staff there have always been caring and professional. They have always shown a personal interest in our dogs. Communication has been excellent. We have no reservations about the quality of care they receive. We know that there can be scuffles and mishaps. That's what happens sometimes when dogs have a good time playing with each other... just like kids! We highly recommend Thousand Hills! Because they truly care. BECAUSE WE TOTALLY TRUST THEM!

We have boarded our dogs multiple times at Thousand Hills Pet Resort, and have had a wonderful experience each time. The staff has been caring, conscientious, and friendly, and our dogs came home healthy, tired, and happy!



The last time, we were gone for over two weeks. When we picked our dogs up, the staff was sad to see them go. They invited me to look at the daily log sheets to see all the comments various staff had made about our dogs as they checked on them multiple times throughout the day.



I was impressed with the level of detail in the comments! They checked them from head to tail, paying attention to condition of their pads, their general demeanor, and how they were interacting with the other dogs.



I cannot recommend this resort highly enough!



If you want your dogs to have a great time while you're away, bring them to Thousand Hills Pet Resort!(They also have daycare, so your dog can try it first to see how he likes it.)
