CAUGHT BY CATCH!



On 2/17/2012, A friend and I went to Catch because of a Groupon coupon. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly host, Todd, who showed us both rooms and said we could pick where we wanted to sit. We came at 6:00 PM. We decided on the smaller room, closer to the street, and sat next to the fireplace and Todd gave us pillows to sit on since the chairs were wood. We then gave the Groupon information to our waiter and Ron, the manager, came to assist us, since my friend had not hit the link. Ron brought in an I Pad and assisted us in retrieving the code so that we could use our coupon.He was so sweet. We then ate Point Reyes oysters on the half shell that were extremely tasty with a Brut champayne which was exquisite .The dish was Fetuccine and Lobster which was magnificent. We did not have desert, because we were full, yet had some wonderful coffee. There was a piano playing over head and Alberto, our waiter, was very friendly and helpful. The ambience was beautiful. We will definitely go there again! If you want a beautiful evening, try Catch. We were caught!

This is my absolute favorite place to dine in the 'stro. Lunch or Dinner, the food is always delicious and very reasonably priced. If you like Seafood (fish especially) they serve up current, in season plates and scrumptious sides. I could eat here weekly.

Catch is a very good (not great--but very good) restaurant in an area that is a desert of not-so-hot places to eat. Mostly seafood, there are plenty of other delicious things to choose from if there is a non-fish eater in your group. We always sit in the front "patio" part of the space, which is protected from the elements and heated in inclement weather. The back part or "inside" the restaurant is too noisy for my taste Service is good. Drinks are good and sometimes the special drinks are really fun and creative. My experience here is that reservations are always honored without pause or surprises. Catch has become a go-to place that's dependable, fun and always pleases. It is especially fun when there is an event in the neighborhood - people watching at its best.
