When I first called Sovereign Health, they answered all of my questions and were extremely helpful. The staff and housemates were supportive and helped me learn to open up to others. I was not prepared for how welcoming and safe Sovereign Health would be. The therapy and group sessions helped me move forward through my problems. The therapists are not judgmental and don’t jump to conclusions, which I had experienced at other facilities. Sovereign Heath has prepared me for everyday life after treatment. I would recommend to come ready to learn and you will have such a positive experience.

I went to treatment at Soverei...

I went to treatment at Sovereign because I had no choice...my family wanted me to get help so I did. It ended up being the best thing that could have happened and gave me a chance to have a better life. I want to share my experience with others and say that it is not an easy choice, but once you get there you will be with a lot of other people who are going through the same things and are really supportive.

Being pretty much depressed du...

Being pretty much depressed due to eating disorder, I ended up in a very bad spot. Here at Sovereign Health, I learnt how to overcome this. Meeting with the nutritionist once in a week is wonderful, going to the gym and working out on regular basis.

Everything about the eating disorder program is great. To be perfectly honest, I came into this program thinking that I knew everything, but I learned at least one thing new every single day I was here.

All of the staff has been wonderful. I enjoyed one on one conversations with my therapist, Krissy, with Deb the nutritionist, with Larry, and with Dr Vicky. Every time I talk to somebody like that, I feel enlightened. Oh, and Dr. Sunny was fantastic! She can turn any negative thought into a positive thought – it’s amazing. You walk in feeling depressed, and you walk out with a smile on your face every time. I am blessed that I have been here.

I’ve come to joke that the only difference between us and people out there is that we admitted we have a problem. I’ve met some really great people here. I’ve never been disappointed by the clients or the staff. It really changed my perspective on everybody."

I just feel supported in every need

Opiates are for acute problems and I didn’t want to be on them the rest of my life. I spoke to my therapist who said “you need to go away again”. He emailed me a list of facilities that he was familiar with and this was first on the list. I looked at the website. I looked that they did have chronic pain and addiction. I booked an airline ticket and came out here.

Sovereign Health facility is just amazing, how it’s all encompassing – particularly in this officer, here, with Dr. Roki. It’s been very, very helpful with the addiction and the cognitive therapy and rebuilding your brain and not to mention San Clemente is so beautiful – the weather is so beautiful here.

I came to a treatment center with a lot of shame, confusion about my life. I was very concerned about my children – the damage I had done.

The biofeedback’s amazing. You hook up. You know, you’re hooked up and you can learn your tension points and you can visualise them on a computer screen and then you can teach your body how to physically relax. So the cognitive therapy, which I can continue at home, I’ve learned here – and it’s on the computer – I’m really looking forward to doing that as well. So retraining your brain can rebuild brain cells.

I just feel supported in every need. I feel very happy…

Sovereign Health Treatments save me by getting me sober

Switching from beer to vodka changed everything in my life. Vodka got out of control & my family decided to get rid of the vodka. My mother knows Dr. Erikson & Dr. Sharma and due to the trust, we all get down to the Sovereign Health treatment center.

You’ve gotta be where you trust people and where you’re getting the help that you need. Not just AA meetings. You need help. You need the therapy. You need not to be judged. You need to feel just to be able to go out in the world. They’re workable with you. They’re workable people with you and they’re there to help. And that’s how I feel about it.

This therapy that they have here is incredible and it works. They also have the biofeedback which is supposed to reprogram your brain. The difference between other programs and Sovereign House is that they work with individual therapy, a lot of love and kindness and they work on getting your mind better. Everybody’s very qualified. They understand. There’s no judgement – and they help. That’s a big difference from people who are just in it for Money.

The doctors – Dr. Larry Snider, Dr. Erikson, Dr. Sharma – the people that are running this place, have a unique program and I would recommend it to anybody that is in need.

I was out at Walmart with everybody and I walked down the liquor aisle and it didn’t faze me. Thank you Sovereign Health for giving me a new life….

That’s my complete story about being sober

This place is not a spin dryer

After I got into AA, I was with the similar people around who used to call such places spin dryers, but they are not. This place is not a spin dryer

I wanted a program that has a rehab center and for depression, like a dual diagnose program. I’m glad I came to this program – it has wonderful groups. I learnt how to cook healthy food. The nutritionist comes in for group is wonderful. It’s kinda like structured so I want to continue living my life like that, like go to the gym, eat right – I don’t even understand why I was drinking, until I came here and was dual diagnosed and I found out that, because I suffer from depression, it’s wonderful – like now I know why I drank and what to avoid and everything. So, this time, I feel 100% to go out there and to make it on my own. Everyone here is nice. They work with you.

The biofeedback showed me how to relax I started learning techniques – breathing, different imagery, I’m practicing meditation to the best of my ability – and there’s just so many things that I have got from this program

Thank you Sovereign Health, for getting… for helping me get my life back.

Thank you for making me sober !

January 3rd of 2007 my drinking was out of control and I decided to drink a pint of vodka and take a bottle of zanex, because I was done. I was tired and I was ready to check out of this world.

My therapist in Long Beach, California was the one who discovered Sovereign Health and led me here. I was here because my family forced me to be here and I was just doing what I had to do to get out. With the help of the counselors and therapists, Suzanne and Daniel, they really helped me look at my life – look at where I had been and where I needed to go. So, in the 90 days that I was here, it was a life changing experience. I went from very, very sick, when I came into the program, to better – not healed, but much better and much more able to go on and deal with life when I left.

The house managers were fun. They were strict. They made us get things done. But they were loving at the same time. So the whole program, the whole aspect, from outside, being in the house, doing things to make ourselves well, healthy – walking on the beach, taking tine in the community – they were healing aspects as well – not only being in counseling sessions, which we did hours of each day – but it was a well rounded experience. There was more than just therapy.

A very good rehab center

After getting highly unsatisfied with many treatment centers, I really found Sovereign Health as one of the best. The qualified staff & facilities made me recover so incredibly. The groups are very informative. But, also, kind of friendly – they don’t bore you to death – they talk about very applicable things for anybody who is looking to recover. It’s just great, it really is – I actually enjoy coming here.

I’m clean and sober. I’m definitely applying a lot of the tools that I have learned here, for sure, and just living life. I’m working, hitting on at least one meeting a day.

They are great, that’s my video for the Sovereign Health:
