Haven't been to Macs in 20yrs and just called them to see if they still have a tube tester and have tubes for sale. Ans: Yes on both, but tester is out being repaired. Very courteous and helpful over the phone, which in today's world isn't always the case. I'll be into the store this week.

Friendly expert staff, amazingly large variety of electronic components in stock. This store is the place to go if you need electronic parts - and - you know something about electronics. I just spent $37 at Mac's Electronics for a part I needed to get my home air conditioner running again, after being told over the phone by a local air conditioning repair company that it would cost $395-$695 for their repair man to come to my house and fix the problem. Mac's is the kind of store that used to exist until the late 1970s, when Radio Shack put nearly all of them out of business. Now there are multiple Radio Shack stores in every city in the USA, but they hardly carry anything in the way of electronic parts. If you don't know anything about electronics already or aren't willing to learn a little, so you can figure out what part is broken and needs to be replaced in your item before entering the store, then this is probably not the store for you. On the other hand, if you want to save some money and are willing to do some homework, Mac's can be your key to saving some significant money.

places. Lots of clutter. Very reasonable prices.
