Was planning to change to another practice until I found out we were moving out of state. I originally switched to this office because it was closer to our home. I've had three doctors and a couple of them spoke English with such a heavy Hispanic accent that even I had trouble understanding them and I've lived all over the world and have been exposed to many accents. My next complaint is that almost every time my prescriptions were changed or I changed pharmacies and gave them the new one, they'd send the prescription to the old one or fail to renew at least one of the prescriptions. The people were all friendly, but friendly doesn't help if they continually get something else wrong. There is a huge turnover in the Gonzaba Medical Group from what I can tell in doctors. One of the best they have is Dr. Denise Tarver. She only takes Medicare patients and is wonderful and thorough. Unless you get her first appt of the day or after lunch, expect a long wait because she doesn't herd her patients through like cattle and is constantly running late. But I'd rather she take her time and study my mom's records, although it's hard on the elderly to have to wait that long though, especially when a patient is over 90.

About the only place that a Senior can still find great care. I am age 71. A recent change in Health insurance made me look for another Provider. I was able to change my insurance on Jan 1, 2015 and returned to the Clinic on the Jan 8th. Easy parking, lab and X-Ray are in the facility.

I have only found highly qualified, kind, caring Doctors and Medical Staff. The place is like family.

Wonderful people and great service. Dr. Bill Gonzaba is a great person and has created a team that take care of the seniors and military vets.

Thanks for doing a great job in south side and now please look at east side of Sa as thats where the opportunity lies for your team to expand and help more people.

Dr. William,

So sorry that I’ve gone to urgent care. Never thought they could have received me with a doctor, but God knows no energy is. I really have suffered. Also maybe because I didn’t want to have heart surgery that has never bothered me. The cardiologist told it was from birth. I hear they call it a murmur. I hardly never read the papers that I get at my appt. Only I started off balance than on top of it I fell. Luckily I didn’t break my ribs and Melissa Gonzales saw me at Urgent Care. But you don’t know how much I’m grateful. I should have gone to the hospital. There’s no words to express myself to all your employees. They’re very kind and willing to help me. I was an orphan. My Dad died when I was 3, my Mom in 1938 so I didn’t have any school. I would go to the field to pick cotton. Those times were hard, but at least I learned a little 3rd grade. Well again, I just wanted to thank you. May the Lord richly bless you. My God I brought back the 30.

Went with the roommate to see a doctor waited for over two hours only to be seen by a nurse practitioner to start out with he did not look too professional is tattoos were showing then he asked what was wrong my roommate said he had back problems his back was hurting he said there was nothing he could do just take some Tylenol and just stood there He showed no compassion which really upset both of us my roommate then said sorry I wasted your time and his words were no problem we walked out and told front desk people and gave us a form to fill I told them that I would be expecting a phone call from a manager tomorrow all I can say is if he had time and money to waste and spend good job is for you for that is our second time there and both experiences have been bad

I made an appointment in April...

I made an appointment in April, and the earliest appointment they could give me was May 16th. They call me a few days before that appointment saying the doctor will not be in and we need to reschedule you. I get rescheduled to May 31. Today they call me again with the same message that the doctor will not be in and we need to reschedule you. It's going on 6 weeks since I made an appointment and I have yet to see the inside of their office. That is a very poor way to do business. Apparently, you have more patients than you can handle and if this is the a sign of your treatment and concern towards your patients, I'll find someone else to take my business to and I hope more of your clients do the same. Yes, I plan on posting this on as many internet post boards as I can and hope other's like me who look for services see this and know to go somewhere else to receive medical services!

Very Bad Medical Care

I had an appointment at 2:15pm with the Nurse Practitioner. I showed up at 1:45pm so they would have enough time to set up. I dont get called from the waiting area until 3:15pm. When I got called, all they did was take me to a different waiting area where I waited until 3:30pm. I then get moved to a room, where I wait for another 15 to 20 minutes. During which I can hear the staff making fun of patients because the walls are paper thin. You know, it can sometimes feel very embarassing to go to the doctor, but it doesnt help when a patient can hear them making fun of you through the walls. Finally, the Nurse Practitioner comes, and I explain her my issues. She says "ok, we can draw some blood today and test if you have time." I then get my blood drawn, after waiting another 30 minutes. After getting my blood drawn, I leave. I get a post card in the mail saying that my results are normal. Then nothing after that. I spent nearly 4 hours at the Culebra location to spend 2 minutes with a nurse practitioner and about 4 minutes to get my blood drawn. Then, to get a post card in the mail. No only was it a big waste of time, but I wasnt even fully checked out. A blood draw coming out normal doesnt mean something else isnt wrong. I have looked up my condition and I know there are other things that should have been checked. The Nurse Practitioner didn't know what she was doing, was being lazy, or didnt care. Either way, I absolutely do NOT reccommend the Gonzaba Medical Group to anyone seeking Medical Care!

Plan to wait

I have had the same problem. I can't get in to see my Doctor so I'll ask if a certain other doctor has any openings and I'm told oh you can't see another doctor only your doctor. Yet they will give me an appointment with a PA and 7 out of 10 times I have to go back because I was misdiagnosed. If you go there plan to wait and wait and wait............. They want you to turn off your phone because your time with the doctor is valuable. Don't they realize your time is valuable whether your with the Doctor or not, because most of the time you'll spend there is not with the doctor. A physical is basically blood work because if you bring up any problems you've been having you'll need to make an appointment. I think Dr. Tarver and Dr. Santaskoy are great but because of the way things are run I have found a new doctor. Oh and if you do take an appointment with whoever is available and need to call them after seeing them forget it you can only leave a message for your primary doctor. Then when they call you they have no ideal what is going on and tell you you'll need to come in, yet you can't get an appointment with them. They have turned there clinics into a factory they need to go back to caring about their paitents.

Are you a name or a number?

This clinic is horrible. If you need urgent care like most of us do you need it immediately not two weeks from now. Its rare if you can get an appointment with a doctor. What you will get is Physician assistants or even a nurse practictioner and your stuck if you have more than one different problem. You get seen for and only one problem. So is you do decide to go to this clinic GOOD LUCK!
