DESPICABLE! I signed a 15 month contract at Gold Gym. Once it expired it went month to month. Fine. Soon after, I purchased another 15 months in advance...but a month later, they charged me another monthly fee.! I called and they apolgized and said it will be cancelled and refunded.
I get an email the next month that they were trying to charge my account but I changed my card number.
I called again and explained the situation. They said they would cancel it again and get that refund processed.
Guess what...a month later I see another monthly fee taken out of my account.
I can't wait for normal business hours to hear wtf is going on. Absolutely furious right now! So furious I made a review...and I never make reviews.

This company is horrible. I hope I never have to deal with them again. If you are planning to sign up with world gym, I would look for other options, because World Gym uses Paramount Acceptance. I was told by this company I signed up for a 12 month contract which would have been completed Dec 8 2015. Well Dec came and went along with Jan, Feb, March I'm still being charged. They want a certified letter sent to them to cancel. Really? You can sign up for a membership on the computer without talking to a person, but you can't cancel without a certified letter. Why can't you cancel with an email. This company is the worst!!!

A trainer at one of the Gold's Gyms convinced me to sign up for personal training. He promised me five free sessions for signing a contract with them. When I went to use my additional five sessions, I was told that nothing was on file regarding such a promise and was pretty much told I was lying! I was so upset and when I went to cancel my contract (after one year had passed) I was told I have to send in a certified letter and that once it was received, it would take a month to process! Of course, this is so they can squeeze one more month out of you. I have had nothing but problems with this company. I also had my card expire and didn't receive notification until I had accrued around $100 in fees.

This company lies!

I have a complaint concerning Paramount Acceptance. I have made 12 payments to this company without any trouble until my credit card they had on file expired.

It expired in Jan 09. I wasn't notified of a problem until March 09.

By this time, my account had accumulated

some $80+ in fees. According to them, they said they had called me on December 10th as a courtesy to remind me of my card expiring. I believe that they actually called my number, but there is no way they left a message of any kind. There is only 2 people living in my house and both of us would be right on taking care of something like this. It is my feeling that they had ever intent of collecting as much in fees as possible before actually sending out a letter on March 12th.

I don't know if this company is Gold's Gym or if Gold's hires them as a finance company. I ended up paying the fees [because I had no choice]but it is my intent to get on any and all blogs crying my tale about Paramount and Gold's Gym. I am very angry about being held up and robbed of $80 and it is legal [according to them]
