I have been enjoying each opportunity (at least once each month) to dine at the China Grill. I love the menu and have never been dissatisfied with my selections. This afternoon, following a meeting, one of my associates invited me to join her for lunch. I accepted and suggested the China Grill to which she had never been before. When we arrived there were only two tables available. As we waited to be seated, a young man poked his head around the kitchen door frame and informed us that he was very busy - so we should sit wherever we liked, which we did. After a bit of a wait the menu's were brought to our table - which we had to hold above the table because it had not been "cleaned off". When we requested that he do so - he returned to the kitchen and came back a short time later to clean the table and take our orders. My order arrived in appropriate timehowever we had to call him back because we had no napkins. A short time later, when my friends order came to the table we realized we had neither chop-sticks nor silver- ware! Again we had to call him back - and he brought each of us the silverware we needed. We visited and enjoyed our lunch - he brought the check,took my Visa card, brought the receipt & customers copywhile we were talking. I signed it and we left the restaurant.My car was in the parking lot, two rows away from the China Grill. I had just started the engine when someone wastapping on the window. To my surprise it was the young man who waited on us. "You didn't leave me a tip" he said,"Didn't you like my service?" I was both surprised and embarrassed that we had been talking so much I had over looked a tip. I quickly reached into my purse and gave him what I should have added to the bill. My friend was outraged and said to him "I don't believe this - I have never known of any restaurant employee to do what you just did!" She was right!Prior to the parking lot incident, she said she really enjoyed the food and planned on coming again. We are both business women, who live in the Holladay area, and who will never return to the China Grill.

Wow - we have passed your place so many times but have never come in. We were VERY impressed. Great food!! Lettuce wraps, sweet & sour chicken, noodles... all were fantastic. We are definitely coming back.

Combination dinners for 2 or 3 provide plenty of good food for 3 or 4 people at good prices.
