This is the best place in town to buy a firearm. Best customer service, selection, quality and price. I have been to many gun shops in Salem and Guncrafters is the best by far. I got a fantastic deal on a gun,!!! The price was already the lowest in town and (the tall handsome man that works behind the counter) gave me an additional discount on top of the already low price and threw in 2 accessories.

I used to frequent this dealer's shop several times a year. Sometimes I just stopped by to see the latest and greatest guns. Over the years, I've bought several guns, gift cards for family & friends, holters, ammo, etc. One day Doug, the owner, must have been in a foul mood. He accused me of "never buying anything...just looking". He did this in front of other customers. I was so embarassed and humiliated. I've never been back.

I wanted a set of sights installed on my rifle. He looked at the rifle and wanted to know if someone had removed the scope base in the past. I told him nobody has. He then told me he didn't want to be held responsible for stripping the receiver. He then took the rifle in the back room and installed the sights. I noticed he made a dent in the side of the front sight when istalling it. I didn't say anything because it is pretty obvious he wouldn't do anything about it.I have purchased guns and ammo from him without an issue since, but don't need the stress when it comes to gunsmithing.

In an attempt to locate and purchase some specialty ammunition, Guncrafters was recommended as a source. I also needed information on a bit of gun repair. The male salesman I talked with treated me as though I was an idiot. Talked down to me and insulted me. He told me what I was looking for didn’t exist and refused to look into the needed repairs of my handgun stating, if he opened it then he would become liable for the damage and implied I would sue him for damage he didn’t cause. -- The store had a good selection of weapons, however other employees I talked with lacked basic knowledge about rifles and handguns. As to the ammunition that didn’t exist, I located it a another dealer.

Started with a newbie looking for a gun for my guy. The person was polite, answered my questions when I was not sure, exactly what to ask. Went in ordered my guys gun. Subsequently we have bought another 3 as he wants me to own and operate one. I can not say enough about how great they have always been when my many visits and obviously inexperienced questions. I am very impressed so is my guy who is very knowledgeable about all this so good place for anyone from newbie to very experienced. Debbie with her new Beretta
