My husband was an owner operator for Dennis Cunningham for 6 months. It started out great very friendly company. After a few months of my husband taking every load even if it wasn't worth it he would get calls from the office complaining that he wasn't to his destination yet or that he wasn't fast enough. He would be at the office getting oil changed or something and have a 700+ mile trip and he would be expected to make it there by the next morning, after being at the shop half the morning.

Towards the end of his employment he would get calls from Dennis yelling and cursing at him for not making an appointment time that was never relayed to him. They will take things out of your pay each week that they say you owe and come up with a lengthy excuse as to why they have to take it. My husband paid $440 for an oil change, fluid top off and grease job out on the road at a service truck stop and Dennis and his crew charged him almost $600 for just the oil change. Dennis would tell Him that he needed to learn how to be a truck driver when my husband went to school for this right out of high school and is now 36 years old. He was asked by the owner Dennis to drive about 2 hours out of his way to pick up 2 sets of tarps for him to bring back to the shop. Dennis told him that he would pay him for doing so and give him a set because my husbands were torn. A few days later when my husband got his paystub he was charged $866.70 for a set of tarps and not compensated for spending his own money in fuel to pick up the tarps for Dennis. His last pay stub he only had two loads for that week so he should have received $893.25 but instead there was a "cleanup of truck #193" charge for $893.25. How convenient. I would not recommend my worst enemy to get a truck/job off of this man!
