I've brought several types of coins and gold jewelry for Dave to look at. He's always treated me fair and with respect. I would highly recommend him to anyone in a situation where they need or want to part with their coins ir other precious metals

In response to the post below, our establishment is the only coin store in Minnesota whose entire staff are graduates of the same counterfeit detection training course as the U.S. Secret Service. Disturbingly, we are starting to see a prevalence of such material, mostly propagated thru on-line auctions, as the production of U.S. counterfeit coins is perfectly legal in China, as long as such coins bear a date of prior to 1942, when the People's Republic of China was formed. Recently there have been numerous articles in Coin World and Numismatic News, urging collectors not to buy key date coins unless they have been professionally authenticated. Customer below offered material for sale that was of questionable and suspect authenticity, and when asked where obtained, he stated that the items were purchased on eBay. We respectfully declined to purchase, and encouraged the customer to send his coins to one of the three major authentication services (NGC, PCGS, or ANACS), since high-quality fakes can only be legitimized by such services, due to their near-perfect craftsmanship. We further told the customer that we would extend an offer to buy, if coins were established as legitimate via one of the above services. Customer got upset and alleged that he was being treated unfairly, based on his race, and stated that he was going to write a negative review of our store on the internet, asserting racial bias. Customer also started using foul language in the store, in the presence of a child that was accompanying him. He was then repeatedly asked to leave the store, and was non-compliant. Customer was subsequently gently escorted to the door. In as much as we respect the customer's right to express his opinion on how he was treated, the incident was captured on our audio and video surveillance system, and is available to anyone who wishes to view the encounter, to corroborate our position that the customer was treated fairly, and without racial bias. -David Steckling, Owner: Gold-N-Silver Coin Co.

This shop will not deal with ever in the 7 years I been living here in St Cloud. I am an avid coin and stamp collector since my teens well I just tried it again today. He questioned me right away, "where did I get this!" Was not a question it was more like an accusation I stole it. I told him I purchase my coins from Ebay. Then he shook his stuff "Lots of fakes on Ebay I don't want them. I told him I know coins and I take care not to buy fakes and he can take them and examine them. He said no! Then I knew it was because of my color again. I'm a native american and he was just refusing to deal with me. in a lil frustration I said is this because I'm not white? He got mad and at me and actually went out from his counter and tried to push me out. I was mad then and just called him names I admit. But anyway This store refuses to deal with me based on my color. Racism alive here.

We took our dads coin collection to three places-a pawnand coin shop, just a pawn shop and to gold and silver coin.We got offered $685 and $395. Gold and silver coin gave us$820. They showed us new price guides for certain coins.Ralph

I stopped here to sell some of my mothers stuff and theplaced was too full of people waiting to sell. So i went outto the motel buyers who had a big ad in the paper and theyoffered me a $1.75 for each silver quarter I had. I knew theywere worth more so i went back to Gold and Silver andthey offered me $6.00 for a quarter. Now i know why thereplace is busy-they pay a good price.

After calling around for ballpark prices, I chose this place because their offer was highest, and they also spend a lot of time with me on the telephone. At the store they were very knowledgeable and showed me a lot of written information, as well as real-time quotes of gold and silver prices, and also they showed me how to get real-time market data from the internet and smartphone apps. They paid me for what my coins were worth, and for the silver they paid me according to how the current market price was on the trading exchange. I was provided a very detailed education, and was suprised at how much individual time and attention I was given, since the store had a lot of customers when I was there. I would recommend this coin store to anyone who wants to deal with knowledgeable, friendly, and honest buisnesspeople.

I inherited some coins and did some comparison shopping- this store not only made me the best offer, but they spent a lot of time with me, explained everything in detail, and showed me several valuation and pricing publications. They also paid me relative to how silver was trading at that moment, for my silver coins, by showing me the real-time quotes on the commodities exchange. Since that transaction I have called them twice for advice and they have been extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

I recently stopped by this store to check out a coin I bought ata recent coin auction and the owner of the store told me it was a counterfiet coin and showed me his diploma from a counterfiet detection school. A VERY HELPFUL Staff and neatplace to buy REAL coins.

I have made multiple purchases and sales at this business over the course of several years, and always find the owners to be extremely helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. It has always been a pleasure doing business there. They treat their customers very well and take the time to explain and educate. Every time I stop there I learn something new.
