Eddie's to the Rescue

I urgently needed 6 patches sewn on to my son's cubscout uniform. The first 3 closest places to my house didn't even answer the phone. The 4th place, which was a drycleaner that supposedly also did alterations, informed me in a not-so-friendly manner that they don't do that.

I finally called Eddie's and their customer service was great. I brought the shirt in, and because he has done many uniform patches, he knew exactly where every patch should go. He got it done that day and everything looked perfectly straight and you couldn't even see the stitching. He charged $7 which I thought was very reasonable since it would have taken me a lot of time to sew it all by hand.

I was very happy with Eddie's and will not hesitate to go there in the future.

Overpriced

I went to this tailor because he had been around for a long time. However, I had him shorten a dress for me and had to go back and have him fix it the same day I picked it up because it was crooked. He was very good about fixing it right away. Because of this, I recently brought back 2 unlined, simple dresses and a pair of jeans to have hemmed. I did not look at what he was charging me until after I left, but when I did the price seemed rediculously high. I then called around to 6 other alterations stores and all had prices that were no where near as much. I ended up picking up my clothes and taking them to another store and am paying half the amount he was going to charge me at a great tailor that has also been in business for a very long time. It is unfortunate because he is closer to where I live, however I can not with a good conscious go back there.
