I first took 2 of my 4 dogs in for a nail trimming. After I met these fine ladies I have been back several times, the last being a pampering for my rescued dog Rowena. See Rowena was 2 hours from being put to death & she had really bad mange and had lost all her hair and smelled terrible. One year later Rowena is a beautiful dog. I made an appointment for Rowena for a shampoo, trim, and whatever they recommended. They did a wonderful job on Rowena and I will be back many more times. You ladies hang in there! Unfortunately there's haters out there that only want to destroy hard working peoples reps when they don't get there way. You rock over there!!!!!!!

My dogs love being groomed at La MIA Bella Pet Salon. They always look absolutely fabulous after their grooming and are never stressed to be there. The business is well managed. The owner Lisa is very professional and offers great accommodations for all my pets. Never had any issues with their people skills, they are there to groom dogs not chit chat!

My previous experiences with La Mia Bella had been pretty good. I have had them groom both of my dogs and liked it fine. I had even boarded my dog we owned a few years ago. Maybe it was because she was the only dog staying there but she seemed happy and the owner would let her sit up in the main room to let her hang out and watch the owner groom other dogs. I was happy with that.

However, this last time I took our new dog to be groomed, I noticed that the ladies didn't seem near as happy to see a new dog ("customer") or very happy to be there at all, really. The grooming was pretty good, though not the best we've had. I set up some dates to have my dog boarded- about 8 days. When I went to pick him up she did comment on how good he was. (He is the sweetest, calmest dog I've ever met, so of course he was good!) She then told me that I should wash his bed (from home that we had brought for his comfort) because it was wet when she picked it up. I thought, "Is it wet because something spilled and run underneath it, or because he peed in it?) She then asked me whether is name was Boo Boo or BoBo. I figure by day 8 you should at least know his name! Especially when it is printed on his tags! I paid and went home. I figured he would need a bath but he was a little scroungier than I had thought. When I went to throw his bed in the washer, I removed the little pillow from the inside. There I found several dried up poops, some of which were obviously old and moldy. The bottom was indeed wet and smelled of urine. What gets me is that they didn't even try to clean it up in order to hide it or anything! He is a little Yorkie- 5 pounds- so he can't just tough it out. He needs better care than what he received!

Needless to say, I will never be taking my dog there again! He was obviously not well taken care of and I am so sad that he was probably miserable the entire time he was there.

Worst grooming experience ever! Both dogs were traumatized, but one had severe razor burns on her belly. She cried all night. We took her to the vet the next morning. She required a round of predisone, numbing spray, etc. - a $71 vet bill. Lisa refused to pay the vet bill or refund any of the grooming expense. They do not deserve even one star.

I will not be using La Mia Bella again. I've used them before, though not overly impressed with their people skills, felt the shave down on my dogs were adequate so I returned.

I dropped off my Shih Tzu puppy yesterday with 4 pictures of what I was looking for. The pictures, 3 of which are of a puppy the exact same age/size as mine and with similar hair texture and 1 showing the slightly more rounded beard shape I wanted, were clearly a Shih Tzu puppy that had a big fluffy Shih Tzu face/head, a nice trimmed body with length left on the legs that ended neatly like a little column right above the bottom of the paw.

I picked up my Shih Tzu puppy and he has a much shorter face/head. There is a very clear line of demarcation between the head and the ears, the space above the nose to his eyebrows (he's a dobie marked Shih Tzu) is shaved down almost to the skin, his long Shih Tzu eyelashes are gone. The legs are completely different as well, they taper the paw and are just rounded off.

I wasn't able to speak with the owner when I picked him up yesterday due to people coming and going to pick up their pets, and she's not particularly chatty to begin with. We were handed our dog, my card ran, "have a nice day" and she walked off. As I mentioned, it was busy and abrupt, so I called to let them know I was displeased. They said to bring him back to fix it. I called again today to request a refund, because his hair is too short to be fixed, and they said they don't do refunds. Bring him in and they'd discuss the issues and see about fixing him. So we drive back to their facility, the groomer who actually worked on him came out and basically said "this is the same" referring to the pics. We disagreed, she called out Lisa the owner, who backed up the groomer and basically said the haircut was close to the pics. She mentioned he had been shaved with the longest guard they have, I said your website says you do hand scissoring, to which she replied "we do, for a lot more money." I said we would have paid it, because we obviously wanted the dog to look the way we requested. "You have to ask for it." This is from their website, "A full body hair cut of your choice, or a full body shave (i.e., summer cut)." So the customer not only has to know a cut requires hand scissoring, they have to request it. Honestly I assumed my dog would require hand scissoring, and if it were not including under "a full body hair cut" as mentioned above, would have been happy to pay for it. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware that as the customer, I had to let them know what tools to use on my dog.

They didn't offer to fix him after we drove all the way back out there, again probably because he doesn't have the hair left, they also refused a refund. So we basically drove out there to have a 1 minute conversation with the groomer, and then the owner, just saying "he looks like the pics" ad nauseam.

Initially I was just dissatisfied by the haircut. Now the problem I have isn't so much the haircut, though it's going to delay some business plans since the dog was to be photographed for a pet clothing line, it's how incredibly arrogant these people are. Having worked with the public, I certainly don't believe the "customer is always right," but I believe the customer's wants and their feelings on the job they have paid you to do have some merit. I never screamed, or demanded, I was just dissatisfied. Essentially repeating the attitude of "Sorry that you don't like this great haircut that is just like what you asked for" is rude. The only offer she made was a discount off a future haircut, which I find offensive.

I'll look elsewhere to find a groomer whom I feel will build a relationship with me and my dog.

Great service AND great prices

Just tried the Royal Pet Salon for the first time with my terrier. They were great- very easy to find (on CR 123 nearish to the Wal-mart on HWY 79) and they did a fantastic job with my dog. She was clean, looked great - and was very calm/happy to be there. I will be using them again! I also liked that it was easy to park out front and get inside with my dog ...very convient to drop her off in the morning on my way out and pick her up on my way home. These guys are real DOG people - they obviously love what they do and it shows.
