Strasburg Rail Road is America’s oldest operating railroad, and when you visit, the first thing you can expect is an authentic steam railroad experience! Strasburg RR boasts five steam locomotives and a fleet of passenger cars, including First-Class, Dining, Coach & Open Air, all beautifully restored and carefully maintained by a world-class staff. Our steam train excursion provides a 45-minute roundtrip through the Amish countryside. An audio commentary highlights unique facts and history about the railroad and region. More than 2,500 acres of farmland is visible, much of which is farmed by our Amish neighbors. Through the year, the Strasburg RR offers themed events such as the Easter Bunny Train, Day Out With Thomas, and Christmas trains
