Pricey draft beer, bread way too big for the burger, perhaps too varied a menu. Maybe this business should find two or three basic menu items and become experts at these specialties. Better to be great at a few things than okay at several. If this establishment would concentrate on being the best pizza around, imagine the business this would generate. Lots of places have okay pizza. Not many have great pizza. If this place wants to be reputable, maybe they could specialize in the greatest pizza in Central New York! We've tried at least six different dishes and all of them were fair to good. Nothing we had was outstanding. Service was okay and wait staff was pleasant. Wouldn't it be fantastic if this place opts to become the King of Pizza?!? Imagine the press they could garner by being the 'go to' place for a simple dish like pizza!

Very disappointing. Food is just mediocre, and both wait staff and bar staff leaves much to be desired. There just doesn't seem to be any attention to customer service. Waited at an almost empty bar to be served, 3 people behind the bar, completely ignored us and we left 10 minutes later without being acknowledged or served. How do you make money on the bar if you don't serve the customers? Its a shame, was so looking forward to having this place open again, really wanted it to be good. Hope the owners get their act together soon, before everyone gives up on them. Lots of choices to eat in Rome and surrounding area, and will gladly drive a bit further for good food and good service. Doesn't seem like too much to ask of any eating establishment. Please getter better soon Back 9.

Potential is there just need more time to work out the bugs. I have been there twice and quite honestly was not impressed with the meal. Had the Torino sandwich the first time, and it was nothing special, at least not what I had expected. I had a burger the second time and it was way overcooked, luke warm, and the the bun engulfed it. Copule of suggestions: Get some experienced waitress/waiter staff to guide the new folks you have in place. The ones we have had are polite enough but you can tell they are inexperienced as they are clueless as to what they should do. This is the first impression of your new business and first impressions are hard to overcome. Second -monitor your bar staff as they have made some serious blunders. One asked if the individual wanted a new orange slice in ther Bluemoon refill, and when he said yes she reached into a glass to remove it and put a new one in with her bare hand. She sould dumped it into the sink or trash can. Want you to succeed!!

While this was our first visit to this restaurant, and we will definitely return, there is still quite a bit that needs to be worked. BLUF: There is nothing, at present, to write home about. This restaurant (of which it is the Grand Opening) needs to be doing local and regional specialties better than anyone else and needs to offer at least one unique food item no one else has (think the poutine at the Upstate Tavern at Turning Stone casino). Our server had not even eaten the food and didn't know what the house specialty(ies) were. Chairs are cheap and uncomfortable. The plastic tablecloths, similarly, are tacky. Parking lot not paved. The "Back 9 Burger" was plain and boring. Meat (overcooked and dry) did not even cover the bun, which was untoasted. Choice of sides were fries or tortilla chips. Fries were frozen instead of fresh-cut. No dipping sauce with the tortilla chips. Failures all around, as if the restaurant is only an after-thought.

Just had a quick supper there. Good food (home-made sauce). Beautiful remodelling job. Nice staff. Hope they do well.
