Rockville Centre Public Library has a special section for residents who can not hold, handle and read regular printed books. It has a collection of more than 100,000 books on audiocassettes on various topics, including fiction, nonfiction, stories, magazines and foreign languages. The library also lends special playback machines along with accessories, such as extension levers, remote control devices and breath switches for listening to books. In addition, Rockville Centre Public Library offers a summer reading program for adults, children, teenagers, youths and senior citizens.
