Calvert Elementary School serves students in prekindergarten through grade five. The school has a nurse who performs a range of services, such as medical and dental examinations, vision and hearing screening tests, height and weight measurements and maintenance of medical records. Calvert Elementary School s library stocks fiction works, folktales, informational nonfiction, biographies, autobiographies, plays and poems. The school also provides frequent listening opportunities to develop vocabulary. The elementary school maintains a parent-teacher organization that sponsors various projects and safety education classes. The organization funds family bingo nights, cultural enrichment programs, perfect attendance awards and Halloween parties. Calvert Elementary School has its campus in Rising Sun, Md.
