I had the worst experience of my life with Dr. Thanjan. I went in to get an endoscopy of my upper GI. Dr. Thanjan decided that it was a good idea to start the procedure after I told him I was still wide awake. I was also asked if my eyes felt heavy and I said NO. And he starts the procedure anyway. He seemed in a rush and like he did not care that I was awake. I felt EVERYTHING. I remember a metal rod going down my throat, then I remember gagging and throwing up 3 times, I remember feeling the metal inside me while my body was trying to vomit. I remember crying because I could not breathe, and I started hyperventilating, then I heard a nurse tell me that the hardest part was over and I felt like I was awake for the first 5-10 minutes, Then come to find out, my IV was infiltrated. My mother pointed that out to the nurse when I was in recovery.( they had no idea about it) So I was awake for the procedure but knocked out the rest of the evening. It was the scariest thing.
