As a former competitive runner, Dr. Robertson brings his own personal experience in athletics and firsthand knowledge of sports injuries into his practice: “I had been a high school and collegiate long distance runner, with bad feet. My flat feet and painful arches earned me several trips to the podiatrist at an early age. I know what it is like to be a patient. Sadly, I also know how it feels to be treated as a set of symptoms rather than a person. That is why I strive to bring a personal, human touch to the care I provide. I treat my patients with the dignity they deserve. I believe in respecting the patient as well as their time: They will NEVER spend more time in the waiting room than with me face-to-face.” Dr. Robertson’s interests within podiatry include sports medicine, biomechanics, orthotics, and surgery. He is also committed to innovative treatments in the field of regenerative medicine: “I am excited to offer treatments that stimulate the body’s own healing capabilities and help a patient avoid the need for surgery. These treatments include Radiofrequency Ablation, Radial Sound Wave Therapy and Amniotic injections” Most importantly, Dr. Robertson incorporates his unique personality and personal philosophy into his practice: “I believe in being approachable, warm and easy going. I introduce myself by my first and last name, not as ‘doctor’. I smile often, show my personality and use humor whenever possible. I welcome open communication and friendly dialogue. I want your visit to be a comfortable, positive experience.” A California native, Dr. Robertson received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of California in Los Angeles. He attended the California School of Podiatric Medicine before completing a three year surgical residency . He ran cross country and track collegiately at UC Davis and was a member of the UCLA road cycling team.
