Working with Jen and the installers proved to be helpful and enlightening. They shared a lot of information about granite and caring for it. I would use them again.

We have used Great Lakes in 2 different homes for kitchens and a bathroom. They do a fantastic job in both sales and installation. They go above and beyond and even left a small gift with each kitchen installation. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

My wife and I recently reached out to Great Lakes Granite & Marble to have our counter tops fixed so that our new range would fit, as the opening was not wide enough. While they were there they went above and beyond our expectations. Drew and his crew did an excellent job not only fixing the range opening but also drilling a new soap dispenser hole next to our sink, as well as finishing up the job by caulking around range. Very happy with experience and would highly recommend!

I was super impressed with the quality and selection of counter tops at Great Lakes Granite and Marble. I purchased a remnant to create a custom banjo counter top for our bathroom remodel. The customer service from our sales rep, Erik Brown was exceptional. The price was right and fair. I highly recommend this company for the exceptional service and quality of product.

Overall it was a very good experience. We picked out our stone. There were a couple of glitches with the stone we picked out. However, once it was installed, it looks beautiful. I wish I could say it was a seamless experience, but we had a small human error. No problem. Brandon was on the phone with me everyday and every step of the way. His crews were marvelous. Mike who made the template, Brian and his crew who did the install were all very professional and did an amazing job. Even the nice lady that answered the phone was always professional and helpful. They all went over and above for us. I would highly recommend this company for any stone work you might be considering. Thank you to everyone who helped build my dream kitchen.

I had a bar installed in my basement, needed granite, tried everywhere and these guys by far had the best selection and top notch service. Would recommend to anyone that is in the market for natural stone. Plus, my Shooting Star granite bar top is the conversation of all my parties!

≈Everything seemed to go well through the install, but that is when we real trouble began. They installed the sinks right on top of the faucet holes making it impossible to install my faucets. Of course, I did not realize it until I had my contractor in to install the faucets. My contractor ended up wasting his time because he could not install them. Then it took 3 visits to address the issue, which they did by cutting a piece of the sink to make room for the brackets. They left a gap in the sink tot he countertop that now needs to closed up with Silicon. They agreed to install the faucets without the plumbing as a good faith gesture. Unfortunately they installed them wrong so my contractor had to return and spend 90 minutes fixing their mistake. Bottomline, there are lots of Granite places out there. I would look elsewhere!!

My experience very similar to other person. Every effort made to get deposit and then they said they were 4 weeks out to install. Instead took 3 months. Before calling them I asked if they can work with someone in GR as I did not want to spend 40 bucks in gas if that would be a pain. They said they do it all the time. So we went with them as they were 150 bucks cheaper and they had a sink that was 10 inch depth on both sides that they said was most expensive. A month later they said it would be awhile to do measure because they group measurements together on westside to cut down on fuel. Not what we talked about but then they also said they did not have the sink we wanted but had another similar. It was not similar and we could have gotten it anywhere and they charged us 120 more for the sink. 2 months later we have not installed yet and tried to cancel but was going to charge us 750 for two measures. Joey said it was reasonable because of fuel but they didn't make a special trip at all. If we ever get t installed they will wind up being more expensive than most of the companies we quoted and we are still at least two weeks away from install at earliest. Asked to speak to a manager and they said no. Who does that? I asked Joey to give any discount he could because they told us measurement was "not that much" but 350 is alot and because the second measure they required was not necessary. Wouldn't even give me 50 bucks. Our final price was 25 percent more than we were originally quoted on deposit.

Absolutely horrible!!!!!

Can I give ZERO stars?! Great Lakes is HANDS DOWN the most awful company to work with. They have been nothing but rude and done terrible work. After my god awful install I called to speak to someone and she told me I didn't know what I was talking about. So after 4 visits to my house I Still have problems. I had a big chip out of the corner, and I have the most god awful chips along all of my seams. They used 3 different colors on all my seams and they look terrible. Their "best" guy used a PERMANENT MARKER to put dots on my seams to "disguise" them. I had my granite installed in February and I'm still dealing with them in June. Do not ever waste a dime on these people.

Horrible

Installer 2 hours late. Then we found tons of chips in the seem. Made 2 appts to fix got stood up the first time--no phone call. Today supposed to be here between 9-11, 2 hours later after i called them twice, the installer called me saying he was busy and "should" be here between 3-4! We will see... I have taken off work twice for this! My husband and I are very upset! This company should give us back $ to compensate our time off work! Home Depot will no longer get our business either! They should all be ashamed of their unprofessionalism!

We had nothing but a professional, first-rate experience with GLGM all through the entire process. I provided a sketch of the areas we wanted, they provided an estimate; they came and made templates, the template guy even played with our lab puppy when he brought his chew toys. We made 2 trips to pick out stone (GLGM has a lot to look at) and they were very patient - even staying after normal closing time. We did our own tear-out and support bracket installation prep-work. When the installation day came, the crew was on-time and did an excellent job. They did the job right. The seams were perfect. It took a little longer than normal but they did not rush it. We are very happy with the final result and would recommend them to anyone. I plumbed the new faucets and drains the next day and we are now enjoying our new kitchen and 1/2-bath counter-tops.

I read all the negative reviews posted and as I am a professional business person, I know that you never hear the positive feedbacks and so I was not quick to judge. I ordered my granite a few days before Christmas 2013...my counters were taken off and my template was made 2 1/2 weeks later...the granite was installed 2 weeks later and communication was a two way street thru the whole process. The company was always polite and the installers were as well. They were quick to answer any questions I had and everything went as they explained to me it would. Questions have to be asked if you have one....they are not magicians and cannot read one's mind. I have only had my granite counters for a week now so I cannot judge their service should a problem arise down the road...but I hope the service I did experience continues should a problem arise.

They installed our granite fou...

They installed our granite four years ago, they seemed o.k. then. Four years later our sink has fallen out and we contacted them to repair it. This was o.k and we schedule an appointment. They said they would be at our house between 12:00pm - 2:00pm. My wife took a day off of work and to maximize her day off she made a Dr. Appointment for 9:30 am. At 10:30 they called and they were at our house at 11:02am. My wife was at our house at 11:30am. When she called Grate Lakes Granit the women who answered the phone was rude and the other person she talked to just Said “Sorry, They have moved on!”. Taking a day off is a big deal for us and they don’t seem to respect our time at all.

Lies lies lies and more LIES...

Lies lies lies and more LIES seven and a half weeks of waiting for my counter tops. These people will tell you anything you want to hear but the truth. Who is running that place?? Does anybody know what is going on their? I cant believe how they treat their customers. This place is fire and believe me you will get burned.

We take our customers very seriously and always strive to provide the best possible customer service. I do find it curious that there are absolutely no specifics in this review with which I could investigate and respond to this review. Curiously there are three negative reviews that show up on this date on three different sites all with different names but similar content

This company is terrible! I do...

This company is terrible! I don't even know where to begin. I went through my local Home Depot during a sale they were having. I was told turn around time would be 2-3 weeks. They had their measure guy come out, rip apart my counters so he could get a proper measure. I didn't mind knowing in a few weeks it would all be put together. At the three week mark I had to contact the company asking when my install date was. My project manager snickered when I asked and said "oh no it will be about 5-8 weeks" I explained that was unacceptable and she blamed Home Depot for having the sale. I had to contact Home Depot to get them to do something. I still didn't get installed until 5 weeks with no apology for Great Lakes. After my installation I contacted GLGM to say I was unhappy with how it turned out and I have not been acknowledged. I have had to contact Home Depot AGAIN to get an answer about my counters. Home Depot has been great trying to work through my problem and promising to help. I have a friend who works at Lowes and warned me not to use GLGM, they don't even use them anymore because of the problems they had. Please whatever you do, do not go with this company. They tend to be cheaper but it is because of the lack of care they have for their customers. Spend the extra money to be happy
