After complaining of bad shoulder pain, especially at night, my family doctor sent me to an orthopedic surgeon in Palm Springs. That doctor ordered Xrays. After reviewing my severe shoulder damage, he told me the damage was too great and he could not repair the damage. I was VERY discouraged.

As a 2ND opinion, my doctor sent me to Dr Reber at STAR Orthopaedics INC. His PA, Kelly, ordered an MRI, which also found severe damage (with a more detailed report of findings). However, Dr Reber and Kelly were confident he could repair most of the damage and I would recover 80-90% function plus a similar 80-90% reduction in pain.

Sept 20TH, Dr Reber did my surgery. He reattached 2 of 3 torn ligaments (3RD gone beyond repair), reattached my bicep muscle (was torn loose), repaired my rotator cuff, and removed several bone spurs. My shoulder was a mess before surgery. The recovery has been wonderful. I have recovered full range of motion, the pain is minimal, and now am working on strength training in physical therapy. All is going exactly as Dr Reber, and his PA Kelly, had described. I am very grateful to Dr Reber and Kelly for their wonderful treatment and highly recommend them to anyone else with shoulder problems.
