I've used this business several times and have always been happy with the results. I took boots in to be resoled and they looked like new when I picked them up. Once he put a strap and buckle on a pair of pumps for me (made them into Mary Janes) because with my narrow heels, they wouldn't stay on my feet without a strap. They looked like they were manufactured that way when finished! I highly recommend Paul & Son.

ATTENTION CUSTOMERS
Paul relies heavily on customer/consumer responsibility. This means you will be given a pick-up date during the day when you drop off your item. He does not require any direct deposit either, which is good, but emphasizes the responsibility aspect as he makes sure that you get your shoes repaired how you asked THEN have you pay for it, thus concerns during pick up MUST be addressed in person, should there be any adjustments needed. HOWEVER, Paul does not have any personal cell phone nor technological savvy things. It is up to you to remember when to come, as the store has a policy on shoes that have not been picked up for an extended period, which will not be held liable for or will be subject to confiscation. So many times, have there been customers walking in 4 weeks late on their own accord, when they have forgotten themselves or have not bothered dropping in or calling the store number to ask directly to Paul for questions. In extenuating circumstances that have been past the expected pick up date, generally Paul will have one of his nephews or nieces help give a COURTESY message containing the store hours, store address, number, and store policy on pick-ups. It is reserved as a final notice for any customers that may have forgotten. In summary, Paul gets the job done well and is willing to take adjustments; however, customer complaints that are displaced due to a lack of customer responsibility, are at the fault of the consumer, not the fault of the store owner who has already done his part (where he didn’t even charge you yet). If there is concerns about the repair or questions, these are to be dealt in person in order to ensure the final outcome.

The owner lost my leather booties and lied about it. He had a very unprofessional attitude. Three months later I received a call from his son to pick up my shoes. I explained what had transpired, but was offered no apologies. The workmanship was inferior. I was very disappointed with this vendors basic ability to be honest and craftsmanship. I would give him negative stars if I could.
