Established in 1991, Rex Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Center is a 130-plus-bed health care facility that provides a range of recreational therapies. The center includes a courtyard, barbershop, living quarters and dining areas. Located in Raleigh, N.C., Rex Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Center is operated by Rex Healthcare, which is a private nonprofit health care system. In operation since 1894, Rex Healthcare also includes acute care hospital and family birth, convalescent, cancer, heart and vascular, same day surgery and wellness centers. In addition, it has clinics for pain management and sleep disorders and operates an emergency service department.
