1988 Ford Van by Work van troubles - 08/27/2009We redid our van with a new motor and transmission but the van still would not run right. We had taken to many mechanic shops but know one would really give us the time of day and would charge us for nothing. Than we found Kerns automotive they are very understanding,honest and accurate. Well they got us running like were suppose to be. I recommend everyone with car troubles to take there car to Kerns Automotive. Thank you....

A friendly, clean shop. My check engine light was flashing and my car was jerking. They towed my car in and said testing was $50 to $200 depending on how long it took to figure out my car's problem. They gave me a ride to work and called me a couple hours later. the test was only $50.00 to figure it out and they had my car fixed the next day. It runs like new again and I highly recommend Kerns to anybody.

I had my 1999 dodge neon service here. They were there to greet me with a happy smile answered all my questions with great knowledge and expertise.This is the third shop that i had been to including two of those big chain stores that claim they have the right knowledge and "touch" but were unable to ever get it right and stop squeaking. This shop was very able to fix it within just a few hours. Which is far sooner then they said that they even were able to get at looking at it.I now know why it would take a while to look at my car when the shop is that good at fixing cars they are going to be busy. It is well worth the money and time as you only need it there once for that repair.

I went to kerns because of the way they answered the phone and because of how helpful they were over the phone. They initially asked me to o.k. $197. for check engine light test. Later they called me and said they only needed $49.95 for the test. The estimate was $248. for repairs including the test. They called later when the car was fixed and told me the $. it was the same as the estimate. On top of that, they gave me a rewards card, and 5% of what I spent was put on the card for me to use next visit. They paid me back for going there! They were friendly, timely and helpful. The shop was clean and the guy behind the counter was funny and clean. They earned my business and i will tell my friends.

I went there because of the way they answered the phone & because they were helpful. They asked me to authorize $198. to test my check engine lamp on. They called later and said they only needed $49.95 for the test. The estimate was $249. including test. They called when the car was done, final price was same as estimate. I will go back next time.

The shop is clean, the people friendly and the service was great! I was treated like family!

They really know how to "work the clock" and will rip you off on labor charges. I had a diagnositc problem that was cut and dry, reset the light and drive the car around, no parts were needed. I was charged over $200 for this, the dealership would have only cost me $95. When is the dealership cheaper than an independent shop?!? On top of that, I was never notified of my cars status, I was the one who had to call in and check on it. I will never return to this place for service, and will not recomend this place to anyone.
