South Horse Stables caters to beginning and intermediate riders of all ages. Our lessons focus on building a solid foundation based on the techniques on Centered Riding and Classical Dressage. Many students come from bad experiences elsewhere, and have missed out on some of the fundamental skills of riding their horses in harmony, and with confidence. The dressage techniques educate the rider in the movements of the horse, and emphasize using you body to control the horse in his movements. A firm foundation in the basics is necessary for rapid progress in the future, and is essential regardless of the style of riding you might choose later.Our Instructors seek to bring the hunter/jumper and dressage enthusiasts together, and allow their students to discover their own preference among several different riding styles. They are also on hand to ensure that all your specific needs are met. After all, your care and satisfaction are our highest priorities. We realize that people learn to ride for many different reasons. Whether your goal is competition, recreation, or gaining a thorough knowledge of the art of horsemanship, we will design a riding lesson to suit your individual needs. South Horse Stables has nine 1000 by 1000 feet grass paddocks where all the horses at the barn enjoy most of the day. Come out and take a tour of our facility and meet our professional and friendly staff and see the atmosphere at the farm is relaxed and casual!
