Beware of these lying scamming thiefs. I would give them zero stars if it was available.



Our Home warranty company HSA sent them to our home for a leaking hot water heater. We had a $100 deductible and the tank and installation should have been included. Instead they tried to tell us that we needed to modify our venting and pipes and that it would cost us out of our pocket $500. Our house is 16 years old.



Since we had no hot water for four days we agreed after taking the matter up with the warranty company. They showed up as we watched them install the new tank they made no modifications. When we asked what we were paying $500 for. Terry made up a bunch of lies. When we said we would not pay for unneeded modifications Terry got upset and said we're leaving.



They removed the new tank and put the old tank back in.



When we call the warranty company we were told that Terry was on the other line with them and that they were getting conflicting stories. Luckily we videotaped the whole situation.



We are being reimbursed ifrom the warranty company. I would never call Szabos for anything. Even the Office staff is just as rude when we called to complain to them.



They will charge you for work that is not needed and will not be done if you don't watch them. They do not care about customer service.



I will be letting the Attorney General know about this scamming company. If they don't make enough from the warranty company then they shouldn't work for them. It's not right to lie to the customers and make them pay for unnecessary labor just so they get paid more money.



I'm sure I'm not the only one they've done this to.

I'm a life long customer of Szabo's Rooterman. My dad use to use them when I was younger. Now I call them when ever any of my houses need work. They will treat you like family.
