I Took a mid-century chair, and a small chid sized antique chair to be repaired at Frey,

Michael, (the owner), was friendly, professional, and offers very reasonable prices.

His quality workmanship and caring attention to detail really impressed us,..

let alone the youtube video that was sent afterwards documenting the repair process

of our chairs (to a beautiful soundtrack no less).

It's quite apparent he loves his work,..and we couldn't be happier with the results.

I took my kitchen cabinet door to Frey Woodworking. It is a nice Sapele cabinet door,

however, the veneer is over MDF and both the top and bottom hinges had come out. We

tried unsuccessfully to repair. Michael fixed the door in record time and it looks

absolutely like new and is very solid. His price was very fair and craftsmanship is

We hired Michael Frey to replace part of a crib made from particle board with solid wood, and to apply a finish to the crib. We were happy with the solid wood replacement part, and based on our interactions with Michael, it was obvious that Michael really cared about producing high quality work and ensuring that we were happy with the final product.

Thank you for your speedy response to our request for a time-sensitive solution to a broken dining room chair. We needed that chair for our Thanksgiving guests! I have a drop-leaf dining table, a buffet cabinet and a cabinet-type desk that had been in my family for decades. The finish on all the pieces had become dried out and dull, and the desk had suffered so much abuse that I wasn't sure it could be salvaged, though it was of much sentimental value to me. By hand, Michael stripped and refinished these pieces and turned them back into attractive furniture that I'm proud to have in my home. The desk, which I feared was a lost cause, is virtually stain-free and sports a warm, low-luster, satiny finish--just what I wanted.Michael really listens to what you want, keeps you informed about what he is doing and does beautiful work at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend him for his skill, professionalism and engaging way with people.
