Founded in 1986, Folk Time is a program dedicated to creating a supportive environment for individuals with mental illnesses. Based in Portland, Ore., the program renders an array of services, including companionship, stabilization, independence, outreach, education and homemade lunch. It also conducts an array of activities, such as craft projects, guest speakers, games, and discussions on current topics of interest. Folk Time's list of partners includes Autzen Foundation, Meyer Memorial Trust, Providence Health Systems and Starbucks.
