Great manicure probably because I got the shellac. Polish used for pedicure was chipping off before I got home . What a waste of 45 dollars

A friend and I are planning a trip to Portland and we are from out of town. I was told by the Hotel that Dosha is near since we will not have our cars. I call to set up an appt and wanted to make sure it was with in walking distance. The lady on the phone has no clue of any hotels and told me to look it up to see if it was near. I explained that I was from out of town and I don't know the area at all... still she didn't help. Just from the phone I knew they had bad customer service and when I read the reviews... it just confirmed it! Their Mission Statement is a joke!!!

"We commit to providing an experience with the highest quality in service, products, and professionalism. Our mission is to deliver excellence to our guest every time. We commit to never stand still and strive to constantly raise the bar as a unified team. ''

Peaceful

I know some people are against the idea of a chain spa, but Dosha's two locations in Portland feel absolutely local and incredibly peaceful. Located in the busy Hawthorne District, I often go to their SE location for massages, hair cuts and then make trips to the stores after for a lovely evening out!

I heard a lot about this salon, mostly from the massive amounts of advertising they do. When my sister got married, she chose this salon for us all to get our hair done at. ;-) The experience started off nice, with hot tea & an elevator ride up to the modern salon space upstairs. ;-) That's where it ended. The prices were OUTRAGEOUS for the skill level the stylist had. The hair do she gave me was outdated & downright embarrassing. I rarely EVER tell a stylist that I'm unhappy with her work, I just don't come back - but because this was for my sister's wedding that day - I got up the nerve & told her that the shirley temple curls she gave me (a 36 year old pregnant woman) was just not comfortable for me. She basically shrugged her shoulders & said "I have another client", & left me sitting there. I was disgusted but didn't want to ruin my sisters experience so I left it at that. Needless to say, I've never NOT left a tip for a stylist but that day - that stylist got $ .00. Boo.
