Bernard's has provided services for me and my family for many years and is usually the best blend of price, service and competence. They have picked me up when stranded and towed my vehicle, as part of the service. A scheduled job is saving us $240 over another local independent shop and $50 over a national chain store that ALWAYS up-sells us when we go there.Their shop also has long-term employees which means they are good employers which means a lot to me as a consumer.

Steering was making a grinding noise on sharp left turns. Bernards told me I needed new brakes on all 4 wheels. The brakes had less than 20,000 miles on them. I told them they were wrong but had to pay $80 diagnosis fee to get my car back. I paid, took the car home and inspected the brakes -- they were fine. Problem was actually a wheel bearing. And by the way, Bernards wanted exactly $500 to change the brakes.
