Alder Property Management has been fantastic to work with. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to manage a property. I've been using their service for the last several years and and have been consistently pleased with all that they do.

As a first time landlord, many miles away from the property, I was nervous about how everything would work. The team at Alder made everything easy. They handled everything including getting the place ready to rent, screening tenants, repairs, and so on. We received regular updates from them, their records were meticulously kept on the easy to navigate online portal (very important come tax time). An all around wonderful experience. So much so that, when I was able to invest in a second property I went back to them without hesitation.

To be blunt, I don't understand a negative review of this place. They have been nothing but above and beyond performers and consummate professionals.

I wouldn't rent my home through Alder or rent a home from them again. Extremely difficult to work with, and the proprietor is extremely unprofessional.

As far as renting a home goes I would not trust this company to rent my own home. They seem to maintain no records or photos of homes before move-in, do absolutely cursory jobs to clean them, lack records after, and generally have an extremely lax attitude toward the entire check-in process. They were responsible for yard maintenance per their own lease and it took them 10 months to finally get a gardener to our home, (for a total of one visit over 12 months) and this is after mentioning in it in 4 emails and over 5 phone calls. (of course every time it was someone else fault)

As a renter I would be extremely careful with the proprietor of this business. We were charged for multiple items that we had indicated on our check-in form (and they had indicated on their own check-in form) and the proprietor was unwilling to correct this error. This is flabbergasting? What we all thought was a pretty straightforward correction on their part (they clearly hadn't reviewed any of our or their own check in material) devolved to the point where he started inventing new problems that hadn't even been mentioned before by the third email.

Overall the process was very strange. The office manager seems like a great person, and they were both seemingly nice, but the owner of the business will try to rinse you for everything you're worth as a tenant, and make up any excuse possible to avoid making it right..
